One of the most exceptional documentaries ever made, created by a French documentary team, the two hour epic, The World According to Monsanto really puts an end to the concept there is no Conspiracy Theory, unless of course you consider Government collusion, political lobbying, bending of rules and regulatory bodies, suppression of information and dirty tactics by large, well paid legal firms does not count.

Where there is smoke, there is usually fire... so they say. This documentary goes a long way to lifting the smoke screen in so many different areas. If there is still debate about the long term health effects of Genetically Modified (GM) foods at an individual level, there is no discussion of what they will mean to Global Bio-diversity, local economic and social systems and the long term future of who holds power. How is it possible that a living organizim or a genetic code can be Patented?

 

Are we next...?

The World According to Monsanto takes up where We Feed the World finishes, demonstrating that there is little ‘chance’ left in the development of the World’s food systems – in fact it is a systematic abortion of the natural way of the world. The trickle down impact on impoverished families, the World’s most fragile eco systems, and all of our own personal health is laid bare in brutally honest terms - no holds barred.

Sadly, Monsanto is only a good example of the deliberate and willful disregard for public safety, abuse of it’s disproportionate size and influence and complete disrespect for Humanity in it’s attempts to maximize the all powerful god of profit. By enlarge, the majority of large corporations, with some notable exceptions, operate above the law or as the puppet masters of week kneed (or paid off) politicians.

In fairness, today’s pay-for politics and for-profit society are equally to blame, as are we if we chose to vote for their continued existence at the cash register. I have little doubt that this text in itself is enough for the mighty machine of the Monsanto litigation army to roll into full effect to bring bare it’s goliath weight to quash dissenting voices.

Thanks who ever you need to for the power of the web and keep it free of censorship. Spread the word. He who controls food controls the world.
