The 11th Hour

Produced and directed by Leonardo diCaprio, The 11th Hour is a hard hitting, well produced and an extremely serious documentary covering the many forms of Human Impact on the planet earth. Not as well known as Al Gores An Inconvenient Truth, it is broader in scope and not made from a first person point of view, DiCaprio used his star power to bring together an impressive, eclectic group of experts an created a really powerful argument.

The 11th Hour in many ways has taken where An Inconvenient Truth finishes to a new, deeper level and expanded the scope of the investigation joining the dots from even further afield. Nothing is off limits; political systems, consumerism, There was always the chance that DiCaprio could fall foul of profile building, paying lip service to the subject matter, but the complete opposite is true. Serious, on point, highly thought provoking – and yes – alarming, it is an amazing work by a dedicated and passionate activist. Some of the experts interviewed for the film are Stephen Hawking, David Orr, Paul Stamets, Mikhail Gorbachev, James Wooley and many more.
